The National Park Service (NPS) commented on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the proposed Camp FIMFO in a letter to the Town of Highland Planning Board dated January 10, 2025. The conclusions of the NPS (see below) include 1) Camp FIMFO “does not meet the requirements for substantial conformance with the River Management Plan (RMP)” and 2) Camp FIMFO will have “significant adverse impacts to a public resource”.
